The MGA With An Attitude

Whitewall Falps Some people like wide whitewall tires on an MGA, but discover they are either impossible to find in the desired tire size or may be undesirably expensive. There is a perfectly legitimate period accessory to solve this problem. It is called Whitewall Flaps. It ranks right up there with fuzzy dice on the mirror or a fox tail on the antenna. They may not be perfect when viewed up close, and they may not like scuffing a curb, but the are replaceable. They work fairly well with vintage type bias ply tires, maybe not so well with lower profile radial tires. For a current source see:
