Door Latch Pin Drawing for the MGA -- BD-103C2

By popular demand, I have made a drawing of the MGA door latch pin. This is a "reverse engineering" drawing made by measuring one of the four replacement latch pins that I made by hand in 1998. The first three served faithfully, with the third one still in my car, and the fourth one is still spare. These pins used to wear out rapidly when the incorrect door seals made the door difficult to close, and the doors might regularly pop open. Since installing the correct type door seals in 2006 the doors open and close easily and do not pop open, and the driver side latch pin has accumulated 40,000 miles without wearing out.
