K&N AIR FILTERS -- CB-201-05

My solution to the fitting problem was to use a razor knife to cut small wedges out of the rubber edging of the K&N filter element to allow reforming the pleats to go around the vent pipe. Do not cut completely through the edge strip from inside to outside, but stay a little away from the pleated filter material. When you're finished you should have a "W" shape for 3 or 4 pleats that still has the rubber material on the edge of the filter element. You can then stretch and push the pleats aside to clear the vent pipe location similar to the original filter element.
