NORTH AMERICAN SERVICE BULETIN NO.

VOLUME 4

SUBJECT

M.G.A. FIXED HEAD COUPES.
  DATE

22nd May, 1957.

TO ALL DISTRIBUTORS AND DEALERS

Gentlemen,

Due to an incorrect fitting of doors on some of the
above cars it is possible for damage to occur to both the door
and the front fender unless an adjustment to the door hinge is
made during the pre-delivery inspection.

When the front edge of the door fouls the rear edge of
the front fender on opening, shims should be fitted behind the
hinges on the door post to ensure the necessary clearance between
the door and the front fender.

Locally produced metal shims of appropriate 1/16"
to 1/8", depending on individual cars, should be used. The
thickness required may be roughly determined by measuring the
gap between the door and the edge of the rear fender and dividing
by two.

This procedure will ensure the door in centered in the
body door gap as require.

                                    Yours very truly,

                                     Peter Millard,
                                     General Service Manager
                                     North America.
