These cars were shipped in KD form rather than CKD. Production records show them as complete cars. They were first built up complete, then taken to Crowley to be partially knocked down and packed before shipping. Apparently the wheels and roadster windscreens were removed, and the cars were crated for protection during shipping. On arrival they would be easily reassembled with wheels, and also windscreem and front kick panels for the roadsters.
