The MGA With An Attitude
MGA assembly in CUBA - CKD-103U
Records indicate that three MGA were assembled in Cuba, just before the Castro revolution and the shipping embargo. And one was a Twin Cam! A few others may have been shipped there indirectly from the USA. The CKD cars would have been shipped prior to the 1959 shipping embargo, so those would be 1500 models. Due to shortage of raw materials and parts in Cuba, the CKD cars were shipped with all parts required for assembly.
There are a few MGA resident in Cuba to this day. I have some information on at least three MGA currently there, and considerable detail on the current condition of one in particular. Which one may have been the CKD car is still unknown. See here: http://mgaguru.com/guest/demis/da2.htm
