Engine Numbers
Engine number was stamped into the block. The UK aluminium plate was deemed unacceptable by Australian authorities.
Exhaust System
Locally produced.
Body Numbers
There is some evidence to support the notion that all 1500’s and most 1600’s were issued with UK body numbers. It would appear that late 1600MKI’s and 1600MKII’s did not have body numbers.
