During late production of MGA 1600-MK-II (and MkK-II "Deluxe" cars) six drain holes were added at the front extremeties of the boot floor depressions. These holes were (originally) closed with orange plastic plugs. It may be a challenge to narrow down the exact body number when this change was made.
