We got into town rather late Saturday, so skipped the Saturday evening building set-up, but they have plenty of hands for that job. I popped in at 5:45-am Sunday for opening the building to let the vendors in a 6-am. Two hours of hectic shuffle with hand trucks and wheel pallets got the stuff in and tables all set up. Visitors have been catching on that we may start letting them in around 7:30, even though official opening for the public is supposed to be 8-am, and a few of the vendors were still trickling in. After the vendors were all in, and it was down to tickets for visitors, I had time around 10-ao to take pictures.
Start with a chair to stand on for overall shots of the hall for the view of the crowd. We were limited to the one large double hall building this year, so the vendor spaces were pretty well crammed into every possible space. Trying to maintain 6-1/2-foot isles, which was barely enough space for the visitors.
Getting down to floor level, trying to get closer to the vendor tables, having to elbow my way through the crowd, trouble getting clear views between the people. I had to toss out nearly half of the pictures being blurred due to jostling, out of focus, or just a view of the back of someone's head.
Say hello to Burt Levy and John Twist, always in a crowd. The guy selling LED lights was reporting record sales, the most he ever sold in one day. Good business all around keeps them coming back year after year.
In the final aisle lots of booths representing car clubs. You name 'em, they're here, signing up new members.
It was a banner day for everyone, picking up treasure bits, chatting with old friends and meeting new ones.
