Unknown hanging mirror
This mirror was never original for MGA but it looks right at home in the Coupe. The light weight mirror style is in keeping with te spirit of the light weight car. The glass is similar to the shape of the mirror used in MGB GT through 1967. That one had a little rubber forward foot to rest against the windscreen glass to reduce vibration. Mirror used in the '68-'69 GT was slightly larger with more curved top and bottom edges but the mounting bracket was similar to this one with ball joint at top and rubber suction cup against the glass. The Coupe owner reports that there are no screw holes in the body tonneau for the normal dash mounted mirror, so those must have been plugged during some prior restoration work.
