The 1H765 Dog Nut, to accept the hand crank (starting handle), is the seme for all MGA, including Twin Cam. The picture of the short dog nut should be correct. The long neck dog nut in the illustration is likely a drawing error from the original Service Parts List.

The 1G1319 locktab washer for pushrod engines is commonly flat, but aftermarket parts may be slightly cup shape at the edges. A notch in the center is optional, as it does not engage any key. To prevent the standard locktab from rotating, it must be hammered into a notch in the face of the crank pulley. -- The AEH429 locktab washer for Twin Cam engines is flat with a finger tab at the outside edge that engages a drill hole in the face of the crank pulley (see the red line illustration drawing). -- The 2H326 Key for the front pulley and crankshaft "gear" is a standard 605 Woodruff key

The 11G81 crank pulley for pushrod engines is two-pieces stamped sheet metal riveted to a machined iron hub. The machined impression in the front face of the hub (opposite the keyway) is the anti-rotation notch for the locktab washer. The timing mark notch is at the edge of the rear face flange opposite the keyway. -- The AEH428 crank pulley for Twin Cam engines is one-piece cast iron. Anti-rotation for the locktab is a hole drilled in the front face. It also has two 1/4-28-UNF tapped holes that may be used for a puller.
