This will be a short page, but not a short story. In early November 1996, after a little discussion about long trips in little British cars, an invitation (or more of a challenge actually) was extended for the MGA with an attitude to go to Alaska. Well, it did exactly that in summer of 1997, and posting pictures from this trip resulted in the birth of this web site. Thereafter this was just a convenient place to post some answers to a few tech questions, which seems to have gotten a little (hundreds of pages) out of hand in more recent years.
