MGA Guru Is GOING MOBILE - (August 12, 2014)
Simeone Foundation Auto Museum, Philadelphia, PA

Tuesday, August 12, 2014:
The prime objective today is a visit to the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia, PA, "One of the world's greatest collections of racing sports cars". Most of the cars on display have a rich racing history, and have won some significant racing event. The first item of interest is the only MG in the museum, a 1934 MG K3 Magnette that placed 4th overall in the 1934 24 Hours of Le Mans. We were honored to be given a tour of the car by Kevin Kelly .

Kevin Kelly uncovering the Marshall supercharger force feeding the tiny 1100-cc 6-cylinder engine.

Dash plate signed by Cecil Kimber, the pre-selector gearbox shifter, and the 1100-cc 6-cylinder engine.

Then on to the rest of the museum, which currently has about 70 cars on display. You can have a lot of fun trying to name all the different models. Bear in mind these are all racing sports cars.
