Disc Brake PADS TOO SHORT and Loose Clips - BT-104P

In recent years there has been a rash of loose brake pads in MGA front disc brake calipers. The problem is that the pads ar too short so they fall out of place when installed, move forward and drag against the rotating hub. The pads do not fall out, but they may squeak and rattle.

The faulty pads are 4.161-in (105.7-mm) long.
The correct pads are 4.234-in (107.54-mm) long.

With undersize pads, the spring loaded retaining clips will be loose and may indeed fall out along with the locking pins that should hold the clips in place.

Replacement Anti-rattle clip left - OEM clip right.
Clip installed with retaining pin below.
