The MGA With An Attitude

Denali Mountain Range along the Denali Highway

Carol got caught up in the geography here, wanting to mention moraines (drift deposited by glaciers), kames (conical hills or terraces of gravel and sand), kettle lakes (holes formed by blocks of ice meling), and eskers (ridges of gravel formed by streams flowing under glaciers). Say that fast, moraines, kames, kettle lakes, and eskers.

In this area there were military manuvers held during World War II, and in places the tank tracks are still visible more than 50 years later. Today, off road vehicles are generally prohibited, except in certain designated areas.
